"Lived in the area all my life, but never tried Dolphin until last night (because the other fish and chip place was closed), and all I can say is, I went back today. Tried a few things from the menu and everything was delicious, the calimari are cheap, tender, battered lightly and evenly, they are among the best I've ever had (comparing upwards of 15 stores). They are not heavy handed with the salt like some places, so you can actually taste the quality ingredients, everything is cooked well, even a few things that looked overdone (onion rings, chicken schnitzel) were actually perfectly done, crispy and delicious. Suffice to say that I'll be going back, seems like I have a new regular when I'm craving a fish and chip lunch or dinner."

"I've been coming here for around 20 years & love these guys . They make me an incredible hamburger which I've loved for that long & cook it just how I like it with extra crispy bacon . The meat is the tastiest old school recipe that you search high & low in order to find . I've since moved away from the area but I still find time and reason to drop back in no matter the distance for one of them . I'm compelled to write a review as I only recently decided I'd try their souvlaki , one word , wow . I've been missing out . The most incredibly tasty souvlaki I've ever had . Real lamb not processed and the most amazing flavour hands down . No sooner had I finished it I kind of wanted another one but was full and satisfied . Will be back soon guys . "Best fish and chips bar none. Fish were full and juicy in crunchy batter. And they don't flatten the fish like all the other fish and Chip shops in Melbourne. Highly recommended."
